Located in Suffolk, Will looked for a while to find a location where he and others could turn up and be reasonably happy to spend the day… or night if needed! This is our shop so it needs to be right!

After hunting a while for a premises, WJ Metalcraft finally set up camp in Buxhall, a village between Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket. Now ‘The Old Forge’ once inhabited by Graham Chaplin a fine artist and blacksmith for over 25 years. We wanted a space which was inspiring and Graham had created that.. We’re just building on it in the present moment.

Although it’s a character workshop, we have facilitated some sizeable projects, shipping our first job for installation in January 2019. Since then we have continued to update the space while working on a range of fabrication and installation scopes, in house and on site.

Having an engineering background, Will and his Brother Liam ‘an electrician,’ both got involved practically with Dad at a young age. We both done our bit when we left school, and gained quick insight in to what you could achieve.

Being fortunate to travel with work in various country’s, has given Will an overview of what is required on various levels, personal and professional. This has helped him forge a business model which is exciting and achievable.

What we provide is proven. It’s work coming from our hands. A reliable source, not only a ‘computer generated vision,’ but works when it gets to site.
